SOLO OPTION QUESTIONS

FAQ
What is a solo? - A solo is usually a whole song that your child will practice and perform alone in the
recital.

I’m not sure if my child will want to sing a solo.  Should I sign him up anyway? - If you are uncertain
about the solo option for your singer you can wait until the second day of camp to make the final
decision.

My child came home from camp on Monday and said she would like the solo option.  What should I
do?
If your child wants to sing a solo that's great! Please give Brett a call at 681-7078 or e-mail at
youngsingers@aol.com.

When are solos assigned? - Singer pick a solo on Monday and then confirm their choice on Tuesday.

When do solo singers practice their songs? - Solo singers practice during the regular camp hours.
They work one-on-one with the voice teacher, pianist, and choreographer while other campers are
either on break or playing, journaling, or in acting class.  On Wednesdays through Saturdays they sing
their solos in front of the class.

Will my child have fun without singing a solo? - Yes!  Many children love to sing, but prefer not to
sing a solo and are happy to sing together with their friends.
